Faith in Adversity

“Some trust in chariots, and some in horses;
But we will remember the name of the Lord our God.” – Psalm 20:7

Faith is essential to peace, happiness and wellness.

The perfect answer to every dilemma is faith in God. No matter how substantial a problem appears to be, our God is greater.

However, sometimes we’re inclined to believe that if only we had more things, cash, societal acceptance or physical attractiveness life would somehow be less difficult. This simply isn’t true, though. In fact, if we are not careful, to desire these things more than a relationship with God can be the cause of sin and it is ultimately sin that makes life so difficult.

How often do we learn about people who have acquired what they believe to be substantial wealth, only to find that problematic occurrences increase in other areas of life? Managing life’s difficulties without a real, personal relationship with Jesus Christ can be overwhelming.

A strong prayer life in devotional time with our heavenly Father has a positive effect on every aspect of life. Scripture study and active participation in a faith community contributes to a life of peace and joy that is a less burdensome.

My mother’s prayer life is exceptional. Even when she is sick, she is pleasant and optimistic. Truthfully, it is authentic and the reason is a loving relationship with Jesus Christ.

How do you handle difficulties in life? Comment on this post so that others can be blessed and inspired, too! 🙂
